A few years ago, I wrote an essay on oppression in the education system, focusing on how the traditional model of teachers giving instructions and students following predetermined rules can negatively impact learners. While classroom settings and teaching styles in the USA have evolved to some extent, with more teachers fostering mutual conversations rather than one-way interaction, the old model still prevails in many parts of the world.
